Therapy FAQ's
Billing & Insurance FAQ's
Therapy offers a supportive space for individuals of all ages to navigate life’s challenges, transitions, or uncertainties. It’s a place where you can safely explore your thoughts and emotions, process experiences, and gain clarity in a way that feels meaningful to you.
It’s not a one-size-fits-all solution or a quick fix. Rather, therapy is about exploring your experiences with curiosity, gaining insight, and working through life’s complexities. At CA, we view therapy as a collaborative journey where trust and connection are key. We strive to provide a supportive and welcoming space where you feel at ease sharing your thoughts and experiences. A strong partnership with your therapist can foster personal growth, deepen self-awareness, and support you in creating healthier relationships and more fulfilling habits.
Our therapists work with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. Let us know your specific needs so we can match you with the right therapist.
Therapy can help if you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or struggling with specific issues like anxiety, depression, grief, or relationship challenges. Many people also seek therapy for personal growth or to improve their coping skills.
Yes, we offer virtual therapy sessions via a secure Telehealth platform for clients who prefer remote appointments or cannot attend in person.

The first session is an intake session where we’ll discuss your concerns, goals for therapy, and any relevant history. It’s also a chance for you to ask questions and ensure you feel comfortable with your therapist.
The initial intake session is typically 75-90 minutes. Standard therapy sessions are typically 50 minutes, but longer sessions may be available for specific needs, such as couples therapy.
The frequency of sessions depends on your needs and goals. Many clients start with weekly sessions, but this can be adjusted over time.
Yes, we accept a variety of insurance plans. For a list of the plans we are in-network with, please visit our BILLING AND INSURANCE page. Prior to your first appointment, we will verify your insurance and communicate your benefits and coverage details to you. If you have any questions or need assistance, feel free to contact us.
Yes, your privacy is a priority. All sessions are confidential, except in cases where there is a legal or ethical obligation to disclose (e.g., harm to self or others).
New clients are encouraged to complete the NEW CLIENT FORM to begin the intake process and schedule their first session. If you have questions or would like additional information prior to completing the form, please contact us at 262-607-6390.
We kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations may incur a fee.
Yes, we want you to feel comfortable and supported. If you feel a different therapist may be a better fit, please let us know, and we’ll assist with the transition.
No referral is needed to start therapy. You can reach out to us directly to schedule your first session.
Our full fee rates for therapy services range from $135 to $195 per hour depending on the service. Intake sessions, typically 75-90 minutes, are $175 to $275.
Payments are due at the time of service. To schedule sessions, C.A. requires a credit, debit, or flex spending/HSA card to be kept on file. The card on file will be used to cover any copays, co-insurance, or deductible amounts. Alternatively, clients may choose to pay with cash or check at each session.
C.A. is in-network with the insurance plans listed below. If you choose to use your in-network benefits, C.A. will handle submitting claims directly to your insurance provider. Please note that you are responsible for any costs not covered by your insurance, such as deductibles, copays, coinsurance, or charges resulting from declined or inactive coverage.
Insurance coverage can vary depending on your specific plan and provider. While we strive to keep this list accurate and up to date, we encourage you to contact your insurance company directly to confirm that our services are covered by your plan.

We offer complimentary insurance benefit checks for both in-network and out-of-network services. When you provide your insurance information on the New Client Form, our billing team will verify your eligibility and check the details of your plan.
Prior to your first appointment, we will contact you to review the benefits we’ve received from your insurance provider.
Please note, the benefits we provide are based on the information quoted by your insurance company. While we make every effort to ensure accuracy, we cannot guarantee the quoted benefits until we begin receiving the official Explanation of Benefits (EOB) after services are rendered.
All benefit quotes are not a guarantee of payment and are subject to the terms, conditions, and exclusions of your specific health plan at the time of service. For more detailed or specific information about your coverage, we encourage you to contact your insurance provider directly through their member services.
In some cases, services may not be covered by insurance, and additional fees may apply. These services can include, but are not limited to:
· Attending school meetings or other external appointments
· Providing professional letters or documentation
· Involvement in legal matters, such as custody, placement agreements, or other legal issues
While we strongly discourage involving clinicians in legal matters, if either party seeks to have a clinician participate in litigation, the individual requesting this involvement will be responsible for covering all associated fees. These fees are outlined in the service contract, which will be provided once services begin.
Clients are expected to attend each scheduled session on time. Missed or delayed appointments disrupt the therapeutic process and may impact other clients. Because your session time is reserved specifically for you, we require a minimum of 24 hours' notice to reschedule or cancel an appointment. Proper notice must be given by contacting our office via phone or email.
A $60.00 fee will be charged for missed appointments or cancellations made without sufficient notice. Repeated late cancellations or missed sessions may result in the discontinuation of therapy services.
