What do you like about being a therapist?
I have a deep appreciation for progress, especially when clients share that they’ve taken the strategies we’ve worked on in therapy and applied them to create real change in their lives. It takes great courage and initiative to walk through the door and do the hard work of changing thoughts and behaviors. The reward is watching clients experience success and personal growth. I also learn so much from the people I work with; their insights help me continue to grow and serve better.
What is your favorite quote?
"None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an afterthought. Eat the delicious food. Walk in the sunshine. Jump in the ocean. Say the truth that you're carrying in your heart like a hidden treasure. Be silly. Be kind. Be weird. There's no time for anything else." - Anthony Hopkin
If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
I’d choose the ability to stop or slow time. I want the space to absorb more knowledge, balance everyday responsibilities with creativity, and linger longer in meaningful moments with my loved ones - especially those that seem to pass by too quickly.
What is your “go-to” creative or restorative outlet?
Music, painting, and drawing are some of my favorite creative outlets. I also try to spend as much time as I can outside—running, walking, swimming, or simply soaking in the sunshine.
